But home ownership is often beyond the financial means of lower income households. West CAP's Ideal Realty Program is designed to make home ownership possible for a substantial number of West Central Wisconsin families.

We Buy & Renovate Houses

Ideal Realty acquires good, sound houses and rehabilitates them to meet housing quality and Weatherization program efficiency standards. Rehabilitated houses are sold to eligible families at prices well below market rates. Under the terms of a HUD Rural Housing & Economic Development (RHED) grant, this service initially will be provided in rural areas, including communities with less than 2,500 in population. Incomes of home buyers can be no more than 80% of County Median Income (CMI).

Selling Affordable Houses

Ideal Realty works to help low-income families purchase homes. Our Homebuyer Assistance Program (see Families in Transition), may be able to assist qualifying households with down payment and/or closing cost assistance.
